TONG Yen Wah

Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering

Associate Professor Tong Yen Wah joined the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2001 after graduating from the University of Toronto with a PhD in Chemical Engineering. His expertise is in biomaterials research for tissue engineering and in bioenergy from food wastes and biomass wastes, with over 200 publications and 10000 citations. His recent works in food wastes management has been successfully commercialized with distributed anaerobic digesters that can be effectively used in cities through a spin-off company from NUS. Dr Tong is currently the co-Programme Director for a NRF CREATE programme with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) on “Energy and Environmental Sustainability Solutions for Megacities”, E2S2-CREATE, a collaborative research programme between NUS and SJTU funded by the Singapore National Research Foundation for S$89 million on studying coupled problems in megacities related to energy, environment, health and waste.

P.M. Krishna Prasad is a seasoned Quality Assurance and Compliance leader with more than 34+ years of experience in building and strengthening the QA culture in global pharmaceuticals majors, such as Pfizer, LabCorp and GlaxoSmithKline.

He Possess a diverse experience across Human, Consumer, Medical Devices and Animal Health segments. Recognized for managing ambitious greenfield and brownfield projects and also for driving large-scale change management initiatives to harvest efficiencies. Certified Auditor.

He has led and performed successful site inspections for USFDA PAI, MHRA, TGA and other Indian and International health boards. Also carried out remediation actions

He is Passionate about engaging, nurturing and grooming talent for success

He is an award-winning industry thought leader with proven success in strategic planning, building capabilities, improving operational efficiencies an eliminating risks, and driving enterprise-wide change spanning cultures and geographies.

Branka Knezevic

Head of Sales & Service, Lab Water, Australia and New Zealand, Merck

Branka Knezevic has worked in the life-science industry for more than 15 years. She joined Merck Lab Water team in 2011 and is currently working as the Head of Lab Water Sales & Service, Australia & New Zealand (ANZ). Branka has an extensive experience in lab water solutions, developing and leading teams. Previously, Branka worked in various sales and marketing roles in Europe and ANZ. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Branka is focused on driving science, innovation, and customer experience.

Eugene Wang

Co-Founder & CEO Sophie’s BioNutrients

Eugene Wang grew up immersed in the vegetarian food business. Since 2010, his vision for launching Sophie’s Kitchen, the first Plant-Based Seafood Alternative, has manifested into a viable innovation. Sophie’s Kitchen had won numerous recognitions from companies like PepsiCo and Chipotle. In 2019, Eugene took the alternative protein to the microorganism level and started another venture – Sophie’s BioNutrients. The Singapore-based company, which grows microalgae in bioreactors and has recently expanded to Europe. The company created the world’s first allergen-free microalgae-based dairy alternatives and microalgae-based burger patties with its microalgae protein concentrate.

Priyanka Chamoli

Director - Quality Assurance, Avance Clinical

Priyanka Chamoli has worked in the Clinical Research Industry for more than 17 years. Priyanka is currently working as the Director of Quality Assurance in an Australian based CRO. She has experience in all phases of clinical research and conducting audits under multiple regulatory environments across Asia, Australia, the US and Europe. She has worked in pharma and biotech companies and small to big size CROs. She is an active member of RQA, UK and ARCS, Australia.

Meenu Bansal

Field Marketing Expert, Lab Water Solutions, India and Singapore, Merck

Ms. Meenu Bansal has 15+ years of experience in sample preparation workflows. She supports quality control and research labs in the private and public sector respectively. In her current role, she provides technical/application supports to the customers and gives end user trainings on water purification system.
